TV Star: Tanjin Tisha’s statement in response to embezzlement
Entertainment Report :
TV star Tanjin Tisha has recently entered the film industry. She has already started shooting for her debut movie. In the meantime, the actress has been cornered by one accusation after another.
After the allegations of fraud by two fashion houses, an Indian producer has now accused Tisha of embezzlement.
Sharif Khan, the producer of the film titled ‘Bhalobasar Morshum’, claims that Tisha has embezzled about Tk4.5 lakh from him.
In this situation, Tanjin Tisha has made her position clear by making an official statement on social media.
Tanjin Tisha wrote on Facebook, “Recently, I was supposed to do the movie ‘Bhalobasar Morshum’ with Indian director MN Raj. Some wrong information has been spread on social media regarding this.
This matter has come to my attention, which is actually completely false and fabricated. When I signed the movie, and I signed the contract through my lawyer.
It was clearly mentioned that all the responsibilities related to my foreign travel are the director and producer. That is, they are responsible for getting the visa, flight tickets and all the responsibilities for staying and eating there.
But unfortunately, they could not get my visa. Even I tried personally; but I failed to complete the visa process.”
Blaming the producer for the visa-related complications, Tisha also wrote, “Since visa-related complications are the director’s responsibility according to the contract, I cannot be held legally responsible for this matter.
This is the director’s failure. At that time, I waited for 2 months for a visa and did not get it. As a result, in the meantime, they included someone else for the role I had contracted with and made him act.
I later signed a contract for a movie in Bangladesh, the shooting of which is currently underway. Cinema is a place of professional honour for me, which I never wanted to ruin, and I will not want to.
But since the director could not start work as per the schedule due to his failure and signed a new person there, I was forced to withdraw from it.”
Complaining against producer Sharif Khan, Tisha wrote, “Line producer Sharif once told me to return one-third of the money, and again told my lawyer to return some of the money, and again he is trying to extort money by damaging my career by giving false information to journalists, which is just an evil attempt.”
Tisha further wrote, “In the contract I have, there is no clause that says I have to return the money if there is any problem due to the fault of the director.
I have always been a person who respects the law, if they can prove it in the court of law, I’m obliged to return the money and if the court gives such an instruction, then I will definitely accept it and return the money.”
