7 public universities set admission test dates

Admission aspirants across Bangladesh have received a clearer picture of the 2026-27 public university admission test season, with seven universities announcing schedules for examinations to be held between December this year and February 2027.

The universities are Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Jagannath University, Chattogram University, Khulna University, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).

The Dhaka University admission tests will begin on December 5, with the IBA unit examination.The ‘A’ unit test will be held on December 12, followed by the ‘B’ unit on December 19, the Fine Arts unit on December 22 and the ‘C’ unit on December 26. Online applications will be accepted from November 11 to 25.

The Rajshahi University admission tests will start on January 8, 2027, with the ‘B’ unit examination for business studies. The ‘C’ unit examination for science will take place on January 9, while the ‘A’ unit examination for humanities will be held on January 16. Primary applications will remain open from November 12 to 27.

The Jagannath University admission tests will begin on January 1, 2027, with the ‘A’ unit examination. The ‘E’ unit test will follow on January 8, the ‘B’ unit on January 15, the ‘C’ unit on January 22 and the ‘D’ unit on January 23. Applications will open at 12 noon on November 15 and remain available until 11:59pm on December 10.

The Chattogram University admission test season will begin on January 29, with the ‘C’ unit examination. The ‘A’ unit test will be held on January 30, followed by ‘B1’ on February 3, ‘B2’ on February 4, ‘B’ on February 5, ‘D’ on February 6 and the ‘D1’ sub-unit on February 8. The ‘B1’, ‘B2’ and ‘D1’ sub-unit examinations will be held on the Chattogram University campus. Online applications will be accepted from November 15 to December 10.

The Khulna University admission tests will be held on December 17 and 18. The ‘C’ and ‘D’ unit examinations will take place on December 17, while the ‘A’ and ‘B’ unit examinations will be held on December 18.

The Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) first-year undergraduate admission test for the 2026-27 academic year will be held on January 8, 2027.

The Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) admission tests will be held on December 18 and 19. The ‘C’ unit examination will be held on December 18, followed by the ‘A’ and ‘B’ unit examinations on December 19.

To reduce candidates’ travel difficulties, examinations will be held in seven divisional cities – Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Chattogram, Sylhet and Mymensingh.
