Opportunity to learn acting from Mosharraf Karim

Many people think that he is a blessing for the country’s acting world. He has proven himself in all mediums, from stage to TV, film or OTT. He continues to captivate the audience with fascination and amazement.

He is Mosharraf Karim. This time, anybody can learn the art of acting from this actor. He will give important guidance from his long career experience.

A day-long workshop will be held on September 25 at the Biswa Sahitya Kendra in the capital, organised by the Academy of Creative Professionals.

The workshop is divided into two sessions. The first session will start at 4:00pm and will continue till 6:00pm.

Playwright, director and drama teacher Dr Yusuf Hassan Arko will discuss in this session titled ‘Theory of Acting’.

The topics of his discussion are – mental and physical preparation for acting and performance, natural and stylised acting methods, character creation (Stanislavsky), tempo, rhythm and physical expression, and the role of musicality in acting.

Then, Mosharraf Karim’s masterclass will start at 6:00pm. In the ‘Art of Acting’ session, he will discuss his long acting experience.

Mosharraf will talk about mental preparation for a character, how to understand a character and enter into the character, techniques for transforming the character’s emotions into real acting, rules for understanding the director’s instructions and coordinating with yourself, and building a career as a professional actor.

The organisers said that a maximum of 50 people can participate in this workshop. For this, registration will be required in the prescribed form.
