ICAB unveils legacy Coffee Table Book

The accountancy profession’s institutional development and future digital transition came into focus as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh unveiled its much-anticipated Coffee Table Book in Dhaka, highlighting decades of achievements alongside new automation-driven initiatives.

The publication, titled Legacy in Motion, was officially launched at a ceremony held on 17 June 2026 at the ICAB Auditorium, CA Bhaban, Kawran Bazar, in the capital, drawing senior leadership, past office bearers and invited guests. ICAB President N K A Mobin FCA formally unveiled the cover of the Coffee Table Book, which documents the Institute’s journey, milestones and contributions to the accounting profession in Bangladesh.

He said, “This Coffee Table Book is a reflection of ICAB’s proud heritage, professional excellence, and unwavering commitment to public interest. It captures the milestones that have shaped our Institute and inspires future generations of Chartered Accountants to uphold the highest standards of integrity, competence, and leadership.”

The launch event was attended by Vice Presidents, distinguished members, former presidents, council members and invited guests. At the programme, Ala Uddin FCA, Chairman of Editorial Board and Council Member of ICAB, highlighted the Institute’s role in advancing the accountancy profession as well as its contribution to the national economy. The Coffee Table Book presents ICAB’s historical journey through narratives, photographs and archival records, documenting its leadership, achievements and long-term impact since its establishment. It also reflects the Institute’s evolving vision under the theme “Legacy in Motion,” focusing on both past milestones and future direction.

The programme began with a welcome address delivered by Mohammad Moin Uddin Riad FCA, Convener of the Members Affairs Committee of ICAB and Council Member. Parveen Mahmud FCA, Past President of ICAB also spoke at the gathering, adding further perspective on the Institute’s development.
Alongside the publication launch, ICAB Strategic Digital Transformation Initiatives were also inaugurated, introducing a series of modernisation projects.

These include ICAB Infrastructure Modernization, Mobile App – CA Connect, Professional Clearance Automation – ClearPath, Document Verification System (DVS) upgradation, student Registration Automation – Smart Enroll, Professional Experience Record Portal – Experience Hub and Automated Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Platform – CPD 360.
