No Obstruction to City Development: CCC Mayor
Development work in the city cannot be held hostage to any personal interest. Biplob Udyan is not just a park; it is a part of our history and memory.

If necessary, strict administrative measures, including eviction, will be taken. No one has the right to stop development work.”
He also directed concerned officials and staff to expedite the work through better coordination and called for strengthened regular supervision.
Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain inspected the ongoing beautification work at Biplob Udyan, a garden dedicated to the memory of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
located in the Gate No. 2 area of Chattogram city.
During the inspection, he reviewed the overall progress of the project and instructed the concerned contracting company to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe, while also emphasizing the importance of maintaining quality.
At that time, the contracting company alleged that some nearby shop owners were obstructing the development work, which was hampering progress and creating uncertainty about completing the project on time.
It is worth noting that under the ongoing beautification project of Biplob Udyan, work is underway to develop modern infrastructure, greenery, walking paths, seating arrangements, and various facilities for visitors.
Once completed, the project is expected to turn into an attractive recreational centre for city residents.
