CMP looks into security arrangements around Jabbar’s Bolikhela
The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has held a security coordination meeting to ensure overall law and order situation around the traditional late Abdul Jabbar Memorial Wrestling Competition (Bolikhela) and Baisakhi Fair.
The meeting was held on Thursday at the conference room of the CMP headquarters. In his speech as the chairman, CMP Commissioner Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali called on all concerned to perform their duties in a coordinated manner. He said that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure public safety and CMP has made maximum preparations to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
The meeting discussed in detail the issues of ensuring public safety, controlling vehicle movement, crowd management, emergency service preparation and maintaining overall law and order situation around the Bolikhela and Baisakhi Fair. Representatives of various government and private organizations, concerned stakeholders and law enforcement officials attended the meeting.
CMP Additional Commissioner (Traffic) and Additional In-charge (Administration and Finance) WahidulHaque Chowdhury, Deputy Police Commissioner (South) Hossain Mohammad KabirBhuiyan, Deputy Police Commissioner (DB-North) Md. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Police Commissioner (DB-South) Sheikh Shariful Islam, Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic-North) Nesar Uddin Ahmed and senior CMP officials were present.
