SAFF U-20 Champs: Bangladesh, Pakistan, India in Group-B

The draw ceremony of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Men’s Under-20 Football Championship was held at Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on Sunday night.
Bangladesh, India and Pakistan have been billed in Group-B, while Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka have been placed in Group-A.
The SAFF Men’s Under-20 Football Championship 2026 will be held in Maldives from March 23 to April 3.
Before this year’s SAFF Men’s Under-20 Football Championship were held two times. The football competition is considered as the SAFF Youth Football Championship.
The first edition of the SAFF Men’s Under-20 Football Championship was held in India in 2022. India emerged the champions in that tournament, while Bangladesh became runners-up.
The second edition of the SAFF Men’s Under-20 Football Championship was held in Nepal in 2024. Bangladesh became champions in that competition, while Nepal finished runners-up.
It may be mentioned that the SAFF Under-18 Championship, SAFF Under-19 Championships are also considered as the SAFF Youth Football Championships.
Bangladesh emerged the runners-up for three times, but they could not clinch the championship title.
