JUST arranges seminar on micronutrient deficiency

A seminar titled “Micronutrient Deficiency in Adolescent Girls in Bangladesh: Evidence, Interventions and Policy Implications” was organised at Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST).

The seminar was organised by the Department of Education and Technology, JUST Research Cell, at the Sharif Hossain Gallery on Tuesday. The seminar was attended by the Vice Chancellor of JUST, Professor Dr. Yarul Kabir.

The main speaker of the seminar was Dr. Farooq Ahmed, Professor of Public Dietetics, School of Medicine and Industry-Research Health Technology, Griffith University, Australia. He gave his advice on the deficiency of micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals, their long-term health risks and their proper interpretation and He illustrated the picture of practical steps.
