



The movie ‘Roid’ was released in theatres on Eid-ul-Azha. Since its release, the movie is still running in the theatres and is receiving praise from the audience.
Around 20 shows are being held regularly in the multiplex.
Meanwhile, the movie has given good news. ‘Roid’ has received its first international award. Regarding this achievement, the heroine of the movie, Nazifa Tushi, said, “This is a big achievement for me and my ‘Roid’ team.”
The film recently won the Critics Award for Best Asian Film at the 4th Danang Asian Film Festival in Vietnam. Directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, the film stars Mostafizur Noor Imran and Nazifa Tushi in the lead roles.
Nazifa Tushi said in this regardm, “The Critics’ Choice Award always carries a different importance. ‘Roid’ won the Critics’ Choice Award as the best movie in Asia.
The audience in the country and abroad has accepted the movie. This award reminds me of that. As an actress, it is a great honour for me.
At the same time, it is an achievement for the team as well as an honour. As an actress in the movie, I am very happy.”
Discussions about the film began after the trailer and poster of ‘Roid’ were released in late 2025.
Later, after its release on Eid, ‘Roid’ received praise from the audience and film-related people.
At the same time, the film was also released outside the country.
The film’s journey began with an international premiere. It was officially selected in the ‘Tiger Competition’, the main competition section of the 55th edition of the prestigious ‘International Film Festival Rotterdam’.
‘Roid’ is made around an exceptional human relationship. Around the life struggle of a saint and his mentally unstable wife.
Apart from Nazifa Tushi and Mostafizur Noor Imran, Gazi Rakayet, Ahsabul Yamin Riyad and many others have played important roles in the movie.
