Heavy rainfall likely in 6 divisions

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions during next 72 hours commencing 1 pm on Sunday.

“Under the influence of the Monsoon Depression over Northwest Bay and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal coast, heavy (44-88mm) to very heavy (88mm) rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin.

Due to heavy to very heavy rainfall temporary waterlogging may occur at places over Dhaka and Chattogram metropolitan areas and landslide may occur at places over the hilly regions of Chattogram division.
