Pakistan High Commissioner meets PM’s Defence Adviser

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Defence Adviser Brigadier General (retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam at the Armed Forces Division (AFD) in Dhaka Cantonment.

The High Commissioner led a three-member delegation during the meeting, according to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The two sides reviewed Bangladesh-Pakistan bilateral relations and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, with a particular focus on strengthening military cooperation, sharing professional expertise and expanding defence training programmes.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of closer defence ties and expressed hope that the meeting would further enhance the longstanding friendly relations and military cooperation between the two countries.
