ONE Bank, Nagad join hands

To make digital transactions easier, faster and more secure for customers, ONE Bank PLC has launched an instant fund transfer service from its banking app to Nagad, one of the country’s leading mobile financial service providers.

The initiative is expected to enhance customers’ transaction flexibility and mark another milestone in the country’s journey toward a cashless economy.

The service was formally launched at a programme held at ONE Bank’s corporate headquarters in the capital’s Gulshan area on Tuesday. Md. Motasem Billah, administrator of Nagad appointed by Bangladesh Bank, and Muhit Rahman, managing director of ONE Bank, attended the event and exchanged the agreement.

Representing Nagad at the event were Mohummed Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan, chief commercial officer; and Md. Saidur Rahman Dipu, head of business sales, among others.

On behalf of ONE Bank, the programme was attended by Shabbir Ahmed, additional managing director and head of business; Kazi Ziaul Islam, deputy managing director; Iftekhar Ahmed Zafar, deputy managing director; along with senior officials from both organisations.

Speaking at the event, Nagad Administrator Md. Motasem Billah said, “Interoperability between banks and mobile financial services is crucial for expanding digital financial services in Bangladesh.

This partnership with ONE Bank will enable customers to conduct digital transactions more conveniently while also contributing to greater financial inclusion across the country.”

Muhit Rahman, managing director of ONE Bank, said, “We continue to introduce new digital initiatives to provide our customers with more modern and convenient banking services. Through this partnership with Nagad, our customers will be able to transfer funds more quickly and easily.”
