The detainee was identified as Md Saddam Hossain, also known as Saddam, according to a DMP press release issued on Wednesday.
Acting on intelligence information, members of a special action group under the CTTC carried out a raid in the Bihari Palli area of Pallabi at around 9:00pm on June 16. During the operation, they apprehended Saddam.
Following his arrest, investigators conducted another raid at the office of a courier service in the same area based on information obtained from him and recovered 7,000 yaba tablets.
