Yunnan Minzu University delegation visits BKSP

A four-member delegation from Yunnan Minzu University (YMU), China, visited Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) on Thursday.

The BKSP-team led by Director General Brigadier General Mohammad Saif Ullah and Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Yunnan Minzu University, Wang Kun and others were present.

It is note worthy that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between BKSP and Yunnan Minzu University, China, on December 12, 2024, which is considered an important milestone in the development of sports in Bangladesh.

The discussion included the awarding of four ‘Study in YMU’ scholarships to BKSP for the 2026 academic year by Yunnan Minzu University, the establishment of the China-Bangladesh Tai Chi Center and the Bangladesh-China Cricket Center, which are included: mutual exchange of teachers and students, formation of Tai Chi training teams and cricket training teams, joint scientific research, joint writing of high-quality social science research papers and ‘Development of an international sports medicine integrated guideline, discussion on establishment of Confucius Classroom and organization of regular sports exchange activities for young athletes/students.’
