BD-Germany business explores new avenues for trade, investment

The Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) hosted a high-level business dialogue with a view to exploring opportunities for joint ventures, technology cooperation, business matchmaking and access to the German and wider European markets.

Muhammad Zulqar Nain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Germany, was present at the dialogue held at the BGCCI office here on Sunday.

The programme was attended by members of the BGCCI Board of Directors, a former President of BGCCI, and CEOs and senior representatives of BGCCI member companies, including leading German businesses operating in Bangladesh.

The programme began with a welcome address by Md. Rokonuzzaman, President of BGCCI, followed by a presentation by Farooque Khan, Senior Vice President, BGCCI, highlighting the Chamber’s activities and initiatives to strengthen Bangladesh-Germany business relations.

The Ambassador subsequently delivered a presentation outlining the initiatives being undertaken by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Germany to strengthen investor confidence and promote Bangladesh as an attractive destination for German investment.

He also highlighted opportunities for German businesses to export to Bangladesh in several key sectors and further expand their presence in the Bangladeshi market, said a press release.
