Tigresses take on Lanka in 2nd ODI today

Motivated Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will take on Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket team today in their second One Day International (ODI) match at Rajshahi Divisional Cricket Stadium.

The match will start at 9:30am (Bangladesh Standard Time). The Tigresses had a 1-0 lead as they defeated the Lanka women by three wickets in their first ODI match at the same venue on April 20.

The third ODI between Bangladesh women and Sri Lanka women will take place at the same venue on April 25.

Before today’s match, the Tigresses and the Lanka Women’s Cricket team faced each other in five ODI matches. Of them, Bangladesh women posted one victory, while Sri Lanka women won three matches and one match ended without any result.

Sharmin Akhter notched up a terrific 86 in the recently concluded ODI match. She hit 13 fours in her 127-ball innings. She was adjudged the Player of the Match for her match-winning performance.

Besides, Ritu Moni grabbed three wickets in the space of 36 runs, while Nahida Akter bagged two wickets at the cost of 38 runs.
