Will soon receive a positive response from ICC: Ehsan
“The committee has observed that Aminul Islam Bulbul’s unilateral nomination of 10 former cricketers had a significant impact on the election process.
This is because he gained an advantage from those councillors and potentially influenced the election results. I have informed you of the findings of the inquiry committee formed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the NSC.
You have been able to realise this much that the committee has observed many irregularities in the 2025 BCB election and has clearly mentioned the matters of irregularities,” said Mohammad Aminul Ehsan, Sports Director of the National Sports Council (NSC), about the decision to dissolve the current board.
“The National Sports Council, after reviewing the report of the formed committee, has reached the position that there were significant weaknesses and irregularities in the election process for the formation of the current BCB committee.
In that context, the National Sports Council has already sent an email to the world cricket governing body, the ICC. In that e-mail, the decision to dissolve this committee has been informed. We hope we will soon receive a positive response from the ICC regarding this matter,” Ehsan added.
“We believe, to ensure transparency in our sports arena, everyone from the 51 federations and associations under the control of the National Sports Council will follow the laws and regulations of the country’s state and, most definitely, the National Sports Council’s laws to conduct sports with transparency.”
