Soil trader fined in Gaibandha

A soil trader was fined Taka one Lakh for cutting topsoil of land and selling it to the customers illegally in Gobindaganj upazila of the district yesterday noon. Acting on a tip-off, a mobile court led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Tamsid Iram Khan conducted a drive at Dakhkhinpara village under Kamardaha Union of the upazila on Sunday noon and found soil cutting and selling activities of the local trader.
