Bangladesh confirm silver to reach final

Bangladesh have reached the final of the compound men’s category of the Asia Cup Archery after defeating Bhutan in a tight battle. The silver medal has also been confirmed for the red-green representatives with this victory in the semi-final.
Bangladesh defeated Bhutan by a score of 232-228 in the semi-final of the compound men’s team category of the Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament (Stage-1) in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on Wednesday. Himu Bachar, Aishwarya Rahman and Newaz Ahmed played for the team.
Bangladesh advanced a long way on the road to the final by winning the first three sets by scoring of 60-57, 59-58 and 57-56. Although Bhutan won the fourth set by a score of 57-56, it was not enough for Bhutan.
Bangladesh will face Vietnam in the gold medal match. Vietnam has reached the final by defeating India by a score of 134-133 in a tough battle.
Even if Bangladesh lose to them in the final, they will still get the silver medal.
Bangladesh last won silver in the compound category in the Asia Cup leg one held in Guangzhou, China in 2021. They lost to South Korea in the team category in the battle to be the best team.
