Jamaat demands Hasina’s immediate return from India

Bangladesh Jamaat -e-Islami has demanded immediate execution of the death sentence handed down to ex- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, calling for her return from India “without delay”, after the International Crimes Tribunal-1 delivered death verdict in a crimes against humanity case on Monday.

Jamaat -e-Islami, kishoreganj district Ameer, also Jamaat -nominated candidate for Kishorganj -5 (Bajitpur -Nikli) constituency , Professor Md. Ramzan Ali was addressing a election campaign meeting at Dampara area in Nikli Upazila on Tuesday afternoon, while Jamaat leader Humayun Kabir in the chair.

District Ameer Professor Md. Ramzan Ali, ‘Thanks to the judiciary for ensuring proper justice by announcing Sheikh Hasina’s death sentence. She should now be brought back from India and the verdict should be implemented without delay.

This verdict will mark a milestone in Bangladesh’s history he added.

It was addressed among others, District Assistant Secretary General Shamsul Alam Selim, Upazila Ameer Abul Hossion, Rafiqul Islam, and Md jasimuddin.

Ramzan Ali demanded that the execution be carried out within a month.

“We will only be satisfied when the verdict is executed, when we hear that Sheikh Hasina has been hanged.

Every remaining offence must face trial,” Jamaat -e-Islami , urging India to hand her over.
