Jamaat Brings Out Motorbike Procession in Mirzapur to Press Home 5-Point Demand

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized a large motorbike procession in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail to press home their five-point charter of demands.
The procession began at 8:00 AM from the Mirzapur Bypass and paraded through all 12 unions of the upazila. The event was led by Jamaat-nominated candidate for Tangail-7 constituency, Principal Maulana Abdullah Talukder, along with Upazila Ameer Professor Yahya Khan Maruf and Upazila Secretary Maulana Hafiz Abul Kashem Mridha.
Prior to the start of the procession, a brief rally was held at 7:30 AM, where speeches were delivered by Abdullah Talukder, Yahya Khan Maruf, and Abul Kashem Mridha.
Other notable Jamaat leaders present included Assistant Secretary Jahangir Alam Shahjahan, Md. Sanaul Islam, Upazila Youth Wing President Mehedi Hasan Roni, and General Secretary of the Upazila Professional Forum Sheikh Ismail Hossain.
The motorcade featured over 1,000 motorcycles and saw participation of more than 2,000 Jamaat activists and supporters, according to organizers.
The procession was part of Jamaat-e-Islami’s ongoing countrywide campaign to demand the fulfillment of their five-point demands, which include restoration of democratic rights, release of party leaders, and fair electoral practices.
