Jessia Islam has highlighted the students’ movement in her own dress in the Miss Grand International 2024 competition held in Thailand.

Jessia Islam, a model of Bangladesh, participated in the Miss Grand International 2024 competition held in Thailand. She highlighted the anti-discrimination students’ movement in her own clothes on that stage.
Various hashtags were used on social media during the anti-discrimination students’ movement that started last July.
Jessia has shown them in her own clothes. In one episode of the Miss Grand International competition, she went on stage wearing a yellow gown. Her clothes were written in black with ‘All eyes on Bangladesh’, ‘Students’ Protest’, ‘Freedom’, ‘Quota Movement’, ‘Independent’, ‘Students-crowd’, ‘Free Bengal’, ‘Peace’, ‘Save Bangladeshi Students’, ‘Abolish Quota’, ‘Equal Rights’, ‘Peace’, ‘Victory’, ‘Bangladeshi Students’ Movement’, ‘We Want Justice’,
various hashtags with equality.
Sharing a photo of the moment on stage on social media, Jessia
wrote, “We will never forget.”
Earlier in this competition, Jessia was the victim of sarcasm after wearing swimsuit.
In the face of criticism, she said that the ‘Swimsuit Round’ is a part of the international competition, where all the contestants participate.
“It is held not to hurt anyone’s sense of worth, but to highlight the contestants’ confidence, dedication to fitness and personality,” Jessia also said.
She said that it is a matter of pride to represent Bangladesh in the Miss Grand International competition.
Jessia could not make it to the final round even though she was among the top 70 contestants in the competition. India’s Rachel Gupta won the crown of Miss Grand International in the grand finale held on October 25.
This is the first time an Indian has won this competition. The first runner-up is Christian Julian Opiaza of the Philippines and Thae Su Nyein of Myanmar is the second runner-up.
