Kushum Shikder in a new identity

Popular actress Kushum Shikder is set to make her directorial debut with the movie titled ‘Shoroter Joba’, which she also produced.
In addition to directing and producing, Kushum Shikder will be featured as an actor opposite Yash Rohan in the movie.
Known for her roles in films such as ‘Gohine Shobdo,’ ‘Lal Tip,’ and ‘Shonkhochil,’ Kushum Shikder is returning to the big screen with ‘Shoroter Jaba’, adapted from her storybook ‘Ojagotik Chhaya’.
The movie, shot in the village of Pohordanga in Narail where Kushum Shikder’s grandfather resides, is expected to be released in early 2024.
Expressing her long-time desire to produce a movie, Kusum successfully fulfilled this aspiration with ‘Shoroter Joba’. The shooting and dubbing have been completed, with color grading underway in preparation for themovie’s release. Yash Rohan is Kushum Shikder’s co-star in the horror and supernatural genre movie marking their first collaboration.
While Kushum Shikder initially began her career as a singer, she transitioned to acting and achieved acclaim, winning the ‘Lux-Channel i Superstar’ crown and a National Film Award for her performance in a Gautam Ghosh’s movie.
Notably, she has continued to pursue her passion for singing alongside her acting career.
