Asaduzzaman Noor’s golden jubilee at theatre

Asaduzzaman Noor is a national actor, whose fans express interest in watching his performances.
Because of politics, he has engaged himself so much in the service of country and people; the actor has made himself so busy that even if he wants to give more time to acting as before.
According to Asaduzzaman Noor, if he doesn’t get a good script, he doesn’t act if he doesn’t get a character he likes.
He acted in the movie ‘Ekattor: Korotole Chhinnomatha’ based on Hasan Azizul Haque’s essay because he liked the story and character.
More than 50 years ago, that is, in 1972, Asaduzzaman Noor started acting on stage for the Nagorik Natya Sampradaya with his performance in the play ‘Toilo Sonkot’.
After that he acted in many plays. However, he directed only two stage plays. One is ‘Dewan Ghazir Kichchha’ and the other is ‘Mohonogori’.
Noor said that ‘Dewan Ghazir Kichchha’ has been staged more than three hundred times. A few days ago he acted in a stage play titled ‘Remand’.
It was written and directed by Shubashis Sinha. Asaduzzaman Noor was seen playing the role of a detective in this play, which was produced by ‘Hridmoncho’.
The Independence Award winning noted actor Asaduzzaman Noor told this correspondent, “The work of the movie ‘Ekattor: Korotole Chhinnomatha’ will be completed by now.
I will not be seen in any new work before the next national election.”
About crossing 50 years in the theatre and acting in TV dramas and movies, Asaduzzaman Noor said, “I like acting. However, it is difficult to do it regularly.
There was a time when there was a strong desire to act in movies.
But those who were like me did not have the chance to actually act in movies. Humayun Faridi was involved in commercial movies.
But could not stand like that. Now commercial cinema is trying to keep cleanliness.
At this stage of life I myself but sometimes think that I really? Am I an artiste or politicians or social workers or a businessman? But yes, I got the love of crores of people by acting – there is no way to deny it.
We got a time when there was a single talented person together. Limited to a TV, the audience’s interest was strong.
They enjoyed the drama with all their heart. I miss that time very much.”
