National Women's Football: BJMC emerge as champions

BJMC emerged as the champions of the KFC National Women’s Football Championship outplaying Mymensingh District team by 7-1 goals in the final at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Thursday.
Sabina Khatun of BJMC scored four goals with a hat-trick and her teammate Sopna hit a hatrick.
On the other hand, Sanjida of Mymensingh District team scored the consolation goal.
BJMC, the champions team of the competition were awarded with Tk 50,000 and a trophy while Mymensingh District team, the runners-up of the meet were given Tk 25,000 and a trophy.
Rangpur District team got Fair Play trophy.
Sabina Khatun of BJMC was the highest scorer with 22 goals Sanjida of Mymensingh District team was adjudged the most valuabdjudged the most upcoming promising player.
After the final match, Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, MP distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Area Coach of Transcom Foods Limited Jahedul Alam was with him as the special guest.
Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of BFF Mahfuza Akter Kiron, Deputy Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee Abdur Rahim and former player of Bangladesh National Football team Amit Khan Shuvro were present at the time, among others.
