BNP names Salam convener of Dhaka South unit

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has reconstituted the convening committee of its Dhaka South city unit, appointing Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Abdus Salam as its convener while retaining Tanvir Ahmed Robin as member secretary.

The decision was announced in a press release signed by the party’s Office Secretary Munir Hossain on Sunday.

Abdul Kadir Bhuiyan Jewel has been appointed senior joint convener, while ANM Saiful Islam has been named joint convener.

Before the reconstitution, Feni-1 MP Munshi Rafiqul Alam served as convener of the unit, with Robin as member secretary.

The latest reshuffle follows the BNP’s formation of a new convening committee for its Dhaka North city unit on November 1.

Under the new committee, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Safiqul Islam Khan was appointed convener, while Dhaka-18 MP SM Jahangir Hossain was named member secretary.
