Eastern Bank opens new sub-branches in Cumilla & Rajshahi

Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has opened two sub-branches in Baneshwar, Rajshahi, and Companiganj, Cumilla, expanding its presence in both districts.

According to the press release, EBL Chief Executive Officer Hassan O Rashid virtually inaugurated both sub-branches on Thursday. Local dignitaries, customers and community representatives attended the ceremonies.

The Baneshwar sub-branch is at Kuddus Market, Baneshwar Bazar, Puthia, Rajshahi. Mehdi Zaman, deputy managing director and head of treasury, financial institutions and offshore banking, attended the inauguration alongside Syed Zulkar Nayen, deputy managing director and head of retail and SME banking, and Istiak Ahmed, branch area head for Dhaka.

The Companiganj sub-branch is at Chitto Ranjan Avenue, Muradnagar Road, Companiganj Bazar, Muradnagar, Cumilla. Mahmoodun Nabi Chowdhury, deputy managing director, head of internal control and compliance, and chief anti-money laundering compliance officer, attended the inauguration alongside Syed Zulkar Nayen.

Mohammad Salekeen Ibrahim, head of asset, and Abu Sayeem Muhammad Jafar Imam, branch area head for Sylhet and Narayanganj, also attended.
