Hitchcock’s timeless thriller returning as series

Sarah Snook

Melanie, a young woman from San Francisco, comes to the small coastal town of Bodega Bay, California, in search of a young man. But after arriving there, strange things start happening.

The innocent birds of the town suddenly start attacking people
in groups.

The situation becomes such that people start a desperate fight for survival to escape the birds. Alfred Hitchcock made the timeless thriller ‘The Birds’ in 1963 based on such a story.

The terrifying story of the bird attack is coming back to the big screen. But this time, it’s not a movie, but a series.

HBO is going to make a new limited series based on Hitchcock’s classic film and Daphne du Maurier’s original novel. ‘Succession’ actress Sarah Snook will play the lead role in this remake.

The story of the new series is set in a very contemporary context. Sarah Snook will play the role of a mother named Myra Massey in the series.

After a bitter legal battle over the custody of her child, Myra returns to her hometown with her daughter. Upon arrival, she investigates the mysterious disappearance of a childhood friend.

On the one hand, a murderer is out of reach, and on the other hand, the risk to Myra’s life is increasing. In this situation, she faces another terrible danger.

The deadly bird attack begins. Is there a connection between this bird attack and the mystery of that disappearance?

The series is written by Tom Speziali, who was an executive producer on HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ and ‘The Leftovers.’ He is joined by ‘Harry Potter’ fame David Heyman and actress Sarah Snook as executive producers.
