DMP files 1,810 cases for traffic law violations

The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,810 cases against traffic law violators in the capital over the past 24 hours.

A total of 498 vehicles were dumped and 381 others were towed during the drive, according to a press release issued on Sunday.

During the drive, the Traffic-Ramna Division filed 63 cases, the Traffic-Lalbagh Division 181, the Traffic-Motijheel Division 413, the Traffic-Wari Division 167, the Traffic-Tejgaon Division 95, the Traffic-Mirpur Division 284, the Traffic-Uttara Division 304 and the Traffic-Gulshan Division 303.

The press release said that the DMP’s traffic enforcement drives would continue across the capital to ensure discipline on the streets.
