‘Govt mulls assessment of persecuted teachers’
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Education and Primary & Mass Education Dr Mahdi Amin has stated that the government is considering an assessment of teachers who were subjected to persecution during the fascist regime. He also announced that prompt and effective measures would be taken regarding the nationalization of teachers and staff.
He made these remarks on Thursday (October 8) afternoon at an event in the capital.
Advisor Mahdi Amin said, Whenever the BNP government has come to power, it has worked towards the development of the education sector and valued teachers. The highest number of nationalizations took place during the tenure of the BNP government.
Dr Mahdi Amin added, The government attaches the utmost importance to education and teachers. Due attention will be paid to teachers’ demands in the appropriate manner, and the government will work to implement every legitimate demand.
At the same time, he assured that any legitimate demands of the teachers and employees would be met, taking the government’s capacity into consideration.
