NCC Bank Chairman Md. NCC Bank Vice Chairman Engineer Abdus Salam, Executive Committee Chairman Khairul Alam Chaklader, Managing Director M. Under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, NCC Bank has donated Tk. 1 Crore to Dhaka Community Hospital (DCH) for the purchase of a state-of-the-art CT scan machine.

This initiative will expedite diagnosis and treatment, particularly for trauma, stroke, emergency, and cancer patients, while also expanding access to affordable healthcare.

This 500-bed non-profit hospital has long been providing affordable healthcare to low-income and underprivileged communities. Currently lacking its own high-resolution CT scan facility, the hospital faced certain limitations in patient care.

To address this gap, NCC Bank has provided this financial assistance from its CSR fund.
Recently, at an event held at NCC Bank Head Office, Chairman of the Bank Md. Nurun Newaz Salim handed over a cheque for Tk. 1.00 Crore to Chairman (Acting) of the DCH Trust Quazi Habibur Rhaman.

Among others, NCC Bank Vice Chairman Engineer Abdus Salam, Chairman of the Executive Committee Khairul Alam Chaklader, Directors Syed Asif Nizamuddin, Mohammed Sazzad Un Newaz and Morshedul Alam Chaklader, Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin, Additional Managing Director M. Khurshed Alam.

Deputy Managing Director Md. Habibur Rahman, and Company Secretary (Current Charge) Md. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, FCS, along with Executive & Director of DCH Trust Professor Dr. Md. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan, Members of DCH Trust Sukumar Chakrabortty, Md. Jabed Yousuf, Md. Wakar Hossain, Assistant Director Dr. Md. Fuadul Islam and Member Md. Ariful Islam were present.

At the event, NCC Bank Chairman Md. Nurun Newaz Salim said, “Ensuring affordable and accessible healthcare is an essential part of our commitment to society.

The installation of this high-capacity CT scan machine at Dhaka Community Hospital will enable patients to receive rapid diagnosis and treatment, while also alleviating some of the financial burden on them and their families.”

The Bank’s Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin said, “One of the key objectives of NCC Bank’s CSR initiatives is to ensure healthcare for low-income and underprivileged people, especially those suffering from critical illnesses. Today’s assistance aims to enhance the diagnostic capabilities of Dhaka Community Hospital and help deliver essential healthcare to more people at an affordable cost.”

Quazi Habibur Rhaman, Acting Chairman of the Dhaka Community Hospital Trust, expressed his gratitude to NCC Bank, saying, “Starting with just 20 beds, Dhaka Community Hospital has now grown into a 500-bed healthcare facility.

We remain committed to serving those who cannot afford expensive treatments. This support from NCC Bank will fill a crucial gap in our diagnostic services, enabling us to provide essential CT scan services more efficiently and cost-effectively.”
