Feni football tournament concludes

The closing and prize distribution ceremony of a football tournament organised in memory of July 36 was held in Feni last Thursday. Professor Zainal Abedin, Member of Parliament Feni-2, attended the event as the chief guest.

The special guests included Rafiqul Alam Majnu, MP, Feni-1; Pratyush Kumar Majumder, Superintendent of Police, Feni; Professor Mohammad Enamul Haque Khondokar, Principal of Feni Government College; and Saidur Rahman Jewel, Member Secretary of the Feni District Sports Association.

The programme was chaired by Nasir Uddin Khondokar, Founder and Chief Patron of Manobik Feni Foundation. During the closing ceremony, the guests handed over prizes to the winning and runner-up teams.

The speakers highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting healthy entertainment, sports activities and social harmony among young people.

Players from the participating teams, members of the organising committee and local sports enthusiasts attended the event.

The organisers expressed hope that the tournament would encourage more young people to engage in sports and contribute to developing a positive sporting culture.
