Islami Bank, Jagannath University sign MoU
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC and Jagannath University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide co-branded Master Debit Cards bearing the university’s name and identity to its teachers, students, officers and employees.
The signing ceremony was held at the university’s vice-chancellor’s conference roomlast week, according to a press release.
Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University Professor Dr Md Rais Uddin attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
Senior Vice President of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Md Zahirul Islam and Treasurer of Jagannath University Professor Dr Sabina Sharmin signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the agreement, cardholders will have access to Islami Bank’s digital banking services, including the CellFin app, point-of-sale (POS) and QR payments, and its ATM and CRM network.
The initiative will also provide fee-free facilities, special benefits for students and financial literacy programmes for the university’s cardholders.
