Apu Biswas stranded in Nepal amid devastating floods

Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas has been stranded in Nepal amid devastating floods and landslides that have claimed more than 360 lives. More than 900 people are missing.

The actress, who has been in the country for the shooting of her upcoming film ‘Shikar’, said she is currently safe in Pokhara and is making arrangements to return to Dhaka.

The death toll from the sudden floods and landslides in Nepal has risen to 360, according to a BBC report published Thursday, citing the country’s police.

Nepal’s Ministry of Tourism has also reported that 403 tourists remain missing.

Speaking from Pokhara, Apu said she is safe but expressed concern over the severely damaged highway connecting Pokhara and Kathmandu.

She said she had been informed that repairing the road could take around a month.

“Our vehicle has been arranged. We will travel to Kathmandu today. There is a lot of rush for flights. I will return to Dhaka from Kathmandu by flight tomorrow, Friday,” Apu said.

She also requested her fans and well-wishers not to worry about her and instead pray for her safe return to Bangladesh and her child.
