HSC results likely by mid-November

The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations may be published around the middle of November.

Professor Akteruzzaman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and the Dhaka Education Board, disclosed this information to the media on Friday (August 21).

He stated that the HSC examinations for the eight general education boards have already concluded; however, the exams for the Chattogram Education Board will end on September 9. There is a plan to publish the results by mid-November, and the education boards are working in accordance with this plan.

This year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations began on July 2. A total of 1,270,583 students registered for the exams. This year, the examinations were conducted across all education boards using identical question papers.

While the theoretical exams for the HSC and equivalent courses under the eight general education boards concluded on August 8, the HSC exams for the Chattogram Education Board will end on September 9, as certain papers had to be rescheduled due to floods. Examinations under this board for the districts of Chattogram, Khagrachhari, Bandarban, Rangamati, and Cox’s Bazar were postponed from July 8 to July 26.

Meanwhile, a special examination will be held on August 24 for candidates under the Dhaka Education Board who were unable to appear for the HSC examination on July 13 due to adverse weather conditions. The exam will take place at 10:00 AM that day at the Begum Badrunnesa Government Women’s College center in the capital.
