PM greets Modi on 76th birthday

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has greeted his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, with Modi later thanking the Bangladesh prime minister for the wishes.

Tarique Rahman conveyed the birthday greeting in a post on his X handle last night, wishing Modi good health and high spirits.

“Warmest birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Wishing you many happy returns of the day. May your dedicated service to the people of India always be accompanied by good health and high spirit,” Tarique wrote.

Around 30 minutes later, Modi responded to the Bangladesh prime minister’s message through his verified X handle.

Sharing Tarique’s post, the Indian prime minister wrote, “Thank you, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, for your warm wishes. I deeply appreciate your kind words.”

The Indian High Commission in Bangladesh later shared Modi’s response on its official Facebook page.
Modi celebrated his 76th birthday on September 17.

Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office also published a greeting card featuring Modi’s photograph on its official Facebook page, extending birthday wishes to the Indian prime minister.
