Dhaka Bank opens 39th sub-branch

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman, Attorney General Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus (Kazal), Dhaka Bank Chairman Abdul Hai Sarker, and Managing Director & CEO Osman Ershad Faiz cut a ribbon to inaugurate the bank's 39th sub-branch at the Bangladesh Bar Council in Dhaka recently.

Dhaka Bank PLC has opened its 39th sub-branch at the Bangladesh Bar Council in Dhaka, expanding access to banking services for customers in the area.

The Bar Council Sub-Branch, inaugurated on Tuesday, will operate under Dhaka Bank’s Local Office, according to a press release.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Md Asaduzzaman, MP, attended the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest.

Attorney General for Bangladesh and Bangladesh Bar Council Chairman Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus (Kazal) chaired the programme.

Dhaka Bank Chairman Abdul Hai Sarker and Managing Director and CEO Osman Ershad Faiz also attended the ceremony and inaugurated the sub-branch.

Bangladesh Bar Council Executive Committee Chairman Senior Advocate Barrister Md Bodruddoza Badal, Vice Chairman Senior Advocate Zainul Abedin, MP, Dhaka Bank Director Abdullah Al Ahsan and Additional Managing Director AKM Shahnawaj were present.

Dhaka Bank Deputy Managing Directors Akhlaqur Rahman, Mostaque Ahmed, Sheikh Abdul Bakir, AMM Moyen Uddin, SM Abdullah Hil Kafi, Mukarram Hossain Chowdhury and Md Waliul Islam also attended.

The executive vice president and manager of Dhaka Bank’s Local Office, senior managers of nearby branches and other senior bank officials were present alongside lawyers and Bangladesh Bar Council officials.

The newly opened sub-branch will provide customers with a range of services, including utility bill payments, transfers between accounts, interbank fund transfers and other banking facilities.

Dhaka Bank said the establishment of the sub-branch reflected its commitment to expanding its banking network and making services more convenient and accessible to customers.

In line with its vision of “Transforming Together”, the bank said it remained committed to embracing innovation, strengthening customer relationships and creating greater value for the communities it serves.

The Bar Council Sub-Branch marks another step in the bank’s efforts to bring banking services closer to customers and support a more connected and inclusive financial future.
