Selena Gomez faces fraud lawsuit

Pop star Selena Gomez founded Wondermind Global, an organisation she founded with her mother Mandy Teefey in 2021 to work on mental health.

However, just a few years after its founding, the organisation has been embroiled in legal complications.

Recently, five investors in Wondermind Global filed a fraud lawsuit against Selena, alleging institutional mismanagement and breach of promise.

The BBC reported that the investors, based in New York and Florida, claim that Selena’s negligence has led to the company’s bankruptcy.

In the lawsuit, they are demanding the return of their investment of about $1.2 million, as well as compensation.

According to the investors’ complaints, Selena had agreed to play an active role in the expansion of the brand and act as the chief marketing officer.

The investors invested money in it, trusting her words and promise of active participation.

However, Selena did not play any effective role in expansion of
the brand in future.
