Jishan hits half-century: BD HP clinch T20 series

Bangladesh HP registered a massive seven-wicket win over Malaysia Cricket team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the capital’s Mirpur on Monday.

By virtue of yesterday’s victory, Bangladesh HP won the two-match T20 series 2-0.

Malaysia Cricket team , which won the toss at the SBNCS in Mirpur and opted to bat yesterday, lost their first wicket in the third over. Saif Ullah was bowled by Mohammad Rubel for 5 balls without a run.

Left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan dismissed Aslam Khan, who made 18 runs off 20 balls, one over later.

Opener Jishan remained unbeaten with 57 runs off 21 balls including 2 fours and 7 sixes. Jishan Alam was adjudged the Player of the Match for his outstanding batting performance. Opener Zawad Abrar notched up 23 using just eight deliveries.

After losing the two openers, Syed Aziz and Ahmad Akil put on a 58-run partnership. Both were caught by Abu Haider. Aziz scored 40 off 52 balls and Akil scored 30 off 33 balls.

Malaysia could not put up any fight with little capital. Another opener Zawad Abrar was dismissed for 23 runs off 8 balls.
