



A total of 79,246 students have been awarded scholarships in the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination, with 32,965 receiving Talentpool scholarships and 46,281 securing General scholarships.
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon announced the results at a press briefing held at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Sunday.
Of the scholarship recipients, 35,892 are boys, accounting for 45.29 percent, while 43,354 are girls, representing 54.71 percent.
The minister said the examination was held in April for fifth-grade students to identify academic excellence and encourage educational institutions to help build a knowledge-based generation.
More than 640,000 students registered for the examination, including about 550,000 from government primary schools and around 90,000 from non-government primary schools and kindergartens.
