The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional DIG M M Salahuddin, Commanding Officer of the 3rd APBn. During the raid, police seized two mobile phones allegedly used in the fraud, seven SIM cards three loose and four inserted in the seized handsets-and Tk 3,900 in cash.
According to Additional DIG M M Salahuddin, Sourav was arrested in connection with a case filed with Narayanganj Sadar Police Station. Following his arrest, he was handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspect reportedly admitted to operating a Facebook page for about six months, accepting orders for various products.
