31 senior police officers transferred

Thirty-one senior officers of the BCS (Police) cadre, including DIGs, additional DIGs and superintendents of police, have been transferred and given new postings.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued three separate notifications in this regard through its Police-1 branch. The orders, signed by Deputy Secretary Touhif Ahmed, were issued in the public interest and will take effect immediately.

Under the first notification, CID Special Superintendent of Police Fatiha Yasmin has been transferred to APBN, while CID Special Superintendent of Police Monalisa Begum has been posted to Rangpur Police Training Centre (PTC).

CID Special Superintendent of Police Md Zahidul Islam has been made commandant of the Rajshahi In-Service Training Centre, while Police Directorate AIG Md Abu Hasan has been posted to Industrial Police.

Highway Police Superintendent of Police Muhammad Rahmatullah has been transferred to Police Telecom, while Police Telecom’s Muhammad Motiur Rahman Siddiqui has been posted to the 6 APBN In-Service Training Centre in Mahalchhari, Khagrachhari. Police Directorate Additional Superintendent of Police Sharmin Akter has also been transferred to Industrial Police.

SB Special Superintendent of Police Aminul Islam has been posted to the PSTC in Betbunia, Rangamati. CID Additional Superintendent of Police Asma Akter has been transferred to the Police Directorate, while Police Telecom’s Md Nasir Uddin Zubair and Shahriar Bin Saleh have been posted to Tourist Police and Railway Police respectively.

Additional DIG Tofayel Ahmed, who was holding additional charge of Khulna Range, has been posted as additional police commissioner (additional charge) of Barisal Metropolitan Police.

Md Sajjadur Rahman Russel, superintendent of police at the Khulna Range DIG’s office, has been posted as deputy commissioner of Barisal Metropolitan Police. KMP Deputy Commissioner Marina Akter has been transferred to Tourist Police.

Gazipur Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mohiul Islam has been posted as CID Special Superintendent of Police, while Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mohiuddin Ahmed has been transferred to Rangpur Metropolitan Police as deputy commissioner.

Under the second notification, RAB Deputy Director Md Badrudduza has been appointed superintendent of police of Netrokona, replacing Md Tariqul Islam, who has been transferred to the CID as special superintendent of police.

Police Directorate AIG Md Jalal Uddin Fahim has been posted as superintendent of police of Brahmanbaria, while the district’s SP Shah Md Abdur Rouf has been transferred to the SB as special superintendent of police.

RAB Deputy Director Mir Monir Hossain has been appointed SP of Rajbari, while Rajbari SP Mohammad Manzur Morshed has been transferred to Highway Police as superintendent of police.

Meherpur SP Ujjal Kumar Roy has been transferred to the CID as special superintendent of police, while Police Directorate AIG Ali Haider Chowdhury has been posted as SP of Meherpur.

Newly promoted officer Md Nurul Amin Howlader has been posted as supernumerary additional DIG at the Dhaka Police Staff College.

Under the third notification, Sylhet Metropolitan Police Additional Police Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Haque has been posted as additional DIG of the APBN and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari.

The centre’s DIG Partosh Ghosh has been transferred to the APBN (Hill Districts) office as DIG.
Highway Police DIG Habibur Rahman Khan has been transferred as commandant of Dhaka TDS, while SB Additional DIG Mohammad Anisur Rahman has been posted as additional DIG at the Khulna Range DIG’s office.

Ministry of Home Affairs OSD Additional DIG Md Giasuddin Ahmed has been attached to the Rangpur Range DIG’s office, while OSD Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jasim Uddin has been attached to the Rajshahi Range DIG’s office.
