5 members cabinet panel formed for CSA

The government on Thursday constitutes a five-member cabinet committee, headed by Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam, to review and finalise the draft of the Cyber Security (Amendment) Act (CSA), 2026.

The five-member committee is headed by Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday.

The committee also includes Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman.

The ministerial body has been assigned to review the draft amendment to the Cyber Security Act and provide the necessary recommendations before it is finalised.

The Cabinet Division issues the notification constituting the committee on Thursday, formally assigning it the responsibility of examining the draft Cyber Security (Amendment) Act, 2026 and recommending any required revisions before the legislation proceeds further.
