H’wood actor converts to Islam while shooting in Saudi Arabia

Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito has converted to Islam, said Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.

The actor, who became known worldwide for playing the popular character ‘Gus Fring’ in the television series ‘Breaking Bad’, converted to Islam while in Saudi Arabia, according to a report in the Saudi Gazette.

Turki Al-Sheikh said Esposito recited ‘Shahadah,’ the Islamic declaration of faith, and later joined members of the production team in prayer at a mosque.
