



The Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) of the High Commission of India in Dhaka celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 with enthusiastic participation from yoga practitioners, students, wellness advocates and distinguished guests at Bashundhara Sports City on Sunday.
The event highlighted yoga’s enduring role in promoting harmony, health and well-being, reflecting the growing popularity of the ancient practice among people in Bangladesh.
Observed annually on June 21, the International Day of Yoga recognizes yoga’s global contribution to physical, mental and spiritual wellness. Originating in India, the practice has gained widespread acceptance worldwide for its holistic health benefits.
