Zonta Club of Dhaka IV installs new board

The Zonta Club of Dhaka IV has formally ushered in its new leadership team for the 2026-2028 bienniums, with members reaffirming their commitment to promoting the welfare and empowerment of women and girls.

The installation ceremony took place on June 17, 2026, at the Baridhara Diplomatic Enclave Club in Dhaka, bringing together past and present dignitaries of District 25 to mark the transition of leadership.
District 25 Governor Ztn Dr Zareen Delawar administered the oath to the club’s newly elected officers and directors, formally inducting the board into office for the upcoming two-year term.

During the ceremony, outgoing president Ztn Naheed Shaheen handed over the presidential insignia to incoming president Ztn Dr Sania B Mahtab, symbolising the transfer of leadership responsibilities.

In her acceptance speech, Dr Sania B Mahtab highlighted the importance of unity and collective efforts in advancing the interests and well-being of women and girls. She stressed that cooperation among members would remain essential in achieving the organisation’s objectives.

The programme also featured a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony and a cake-cutting event to welcome the new board and celebrate the beginning of the new term.

The event concluded in a festive and optimistic atmosphere, with members reaffirming their shared dedication to the principles of Zonta International and its global advocacy mission.
