Bank Asia holds 27th annual general meeting virtually
Chaired by Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Bank Asia PLC, successfully conductes its 27th
Annual General Meeting virtually. Shareholders approved a 17pc dividend (8.5pc
cash and 8.5pc stock) for the year 2025 and expressed strong satisfaction with the
Bank's overall financial performance.
The 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bank Asia PLC.was held virtually on Thursday under the chairmanship of RomoRoufChowdhury, Chairman of the Bank.
The shareholders approved a 17pc dividend for the year 2025, comprising 8.5pc cash dividend and 8.5pc stock dividend, according to media reports.
Among others, the AGM was attended by Vice Chairman ZakiaRoufChowdhury; Director and Chairman of the Board Executive Committee Rumee A Hossain; Directors EnamChowdhury, RomanaRoufChowdhury, FarhanaHaq, NafeesKhundker and Farzana Khan; Director and Chairman of the Board Audit Committee Md. AtaurRahman, ndc; Director and Chairman of the Board Risk Management Committee SabethNayeemChoudhury; Managing Director Sohail R. K. Hussain; and Company Secretary (Acting) ZahidHasan. A large number of shareholders and senior executives also participated in the meeting.
The shareholders expressed their satisfaction with the Bank’s overall performance and approved the audited financial statements and accounts for the year ended 2025.
