Koyes Ludi appointed SDA chairman

Sylhet Metropolitan BNP acting president Rezaul Hasan Koyes Ludi has been appointed as the new chairman of Sylhet Development Authority (SDA).

The Contract and Foreign Employment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

The notification signed by the Ministry’s Deputy Secretary Golam Rabbani said that in accordance with Section 8 (1) of the Sylhet Development Authority Act, 2023, Rezaul Hasan Ludi has been appointed as the Chairman (Grade-2) of Sylhet Development Authority for a period of 1 year from the date of joining on the condition that he renounces any other profession, business or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, private institution/organisation.

The notification issued by the President’s order also mentions that other conditions of appointment will be determined by the contract.

Rezaul Hasan Koyes Ludi, who was appointed as the chairman of the CUC, is a four-time former councilor and former panel mayor of Sylhet City Corporation. He held various positions in the metropolitan BNP, including joint convener of the convening committee, vice president, and organizing secretary.
