Youth held with 60,000 pieces of Yaba in Ctg

A youth was arrested with 60,000 pieces of Yaba from the Shah Amanat Bridge crossing area under Baklia Police Station in the Chattogram city on Thursday.

The arrestee was identified as Md. Arif Ullah, son of Nurul Kabir of Dariyar Dighi area under Ramu Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district, reports BSS.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baklia Police Station Mohammad Solaiman said a suspicious person carrying a bag on his shoulder was spotted on the paved road in front of a police box at the Shaheed Bashruzzaman crossing area on Wednesday afternoon.

Upon search, 60,000 pieces of Yaba were found in the bag in his possession.

A case has been filed in this connection.
