Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi team earned bronze medal in the Asian Beach Games Kabaddi as they lost to India Women’s Kabaddi team by 50-31 points in the semi-final at Sanya City in Hainan Province of China on Sunday. This is Bangladesh’s first medal in Asian Beach Games Kabaddi after 14 years.

However, Bangladesh are not returning empty-handed despite not reaching the final. Bangladesh’s bronze medal has been confirmed according to the rules of the semi-final. The Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi team, which played brilliantly since the beginning of the tournament, finished the tournament in third place in the rankings.

From the beginning of the match, the Bangladesh girls tried to compete with the Indian defenders and raiders. At the end of the first half, the score was India 22 and Bangladesh 15. With a gap of only 7 points, Bangladesh had a good chance of returning to the match until the break.

However, the Bangladesh defense lost its grip in the second half. The gap increased rapidly due to the storm of points collected by India’s experienced raiders. When the final whistle blew, India’s collection on the scoreboard stood at 50, while Bangladesh stopped at 31 points. In the end, India ended the match with a victory by a margin of 19 points.
